Thyra, Canute's wife, was actually in love with the King. Their marriage was an arrangement but she fell hard for his beautiness and way of living. His words, his gestures, the little details made him so attractive to Thyra's eyes that she couldn't help but succumb to his charms. Canute was about to answer a trivial sentence to sent her out already but a sword cutting his wife's neck stopped him. He put his hands on his knees and stood up quickly with a hint of fear in his eyes. -Wha...- he didn't finish the question. Brown eyes looking at his surprised face so intensely that he could melt.- Thorfinn? - I think we have to talk." Where Canute tells his daughter about the person he truly loves. (Disclaimer: Thorfinn's canon character development is not the one that is shown in the story. The names of the wife, daughter and son of Canute and the characters themselves are not real ones, they aren't from the manga. Thorfinn is 17 and Canute is 18 in the beginning of the story. A small Viking village is being terrorized by a Sea Monster they call Drekei. They call upon the one man who can help them, the one man who they know will rid them of this terrible monster, Thorfinn Bloodaxe. I wrote this for my AP English class. It was a summer reading project where we read Dr. Jykle and Mr. Hyde and Frankenstein and had to create a monster and write a story about the said monster.

Being a prince is a hard job and it's even harder when people think you're not of royal blood. Thorfinn proves himself over and over again though it seems he can't win his father's love or people's love. On a trip to a sacert city to gain the object of a God is when Thorfinns life changes forever and he meets Askeladd. Everything Thorfinn thinks and thought he was is broken right in front of him. Will Thorfinn live through all this? will Askeladd destroy everything Thors had done for Thorfinn? and will Thorfinn change for the better or worse? this story is about struggle, love, and hope and most of all! is being a warrior mean killing? or does it mean something else?

Thorfinns only wish is to get revenge for his father. his mind has always been on one thing and that's taking down Askeladd. though life seems to want to change everything when secrets surface and hidden deeds come to light. Will Thorfinn break from the changes to a life he thought was all truth? or will he stay strong and have a change of heart and mind on what his really living for?
