She was adopted by Belladonna Took and Bungo Baggins after her mother mysteriously died in a lake, when she was only eight years old. Bella travels with the company of Thorin Oakenshield to reclaim an ancient homeland that was taken by a merciless dragon long ago. Thorin has an obligation to fulfill to his people while he battles against his own feelings that have suddenly awaken within him. Bella must face obstacles of her own on this journey, including facing who she really is and her feelings for the dwarf king himself.

It is a common misconception amongst those who know him, that Rían went looking for trouble. This is not true. In the years between The Battle of Azanulbizar and settling in the Blue Mountains Thorin is both charged with and blessed by heavy burdens. Prompt: "I want to see a fic of thorin taking care of a sick female baby mortal (or child). You know like a fever. I just think it would be so adorable for Thorin to take on the role of a Father figure to a young girl. A father-daughter type of love, you know."
