Thorin Oakenshield has lost it all. His home, his family, his kingdom and the love of his life. He has no one, apart from his two young nephews and his little sister. Thorin lives a life of solitude and hard work, alone in his house in Ered Luin. Hazel is alone, scared and traumatised. Her life in the orphanage is hard, she is bullied and verbally abused on a daily basis. And no one seems to care. No one, apart from Thorin Oakenshield himself. Can one little girl save the dwarf king from himself? And can he help her recover from her dark past? Notes: There are some mature themes in this story, I am sorry if it offends anyone, please do not read if you don't think you can cope with it. This story does deal with alcoholism and abuse but I will warn at the start of chapters that contain this content. The character of Hazel belongs completely to @The_Hells_Angel. Araya is a Hera. You're all probably thinking so she is a goddess with a funny name (like Hera in Greek mythology). No. A Hera is a powerful creature of many races and is usually female (kind of like a goddess I suppose). They are part elf, part dwarf, part fairy, part siren, part human and part dragon. This work is a compilation of oneshots I think of occasionally; mostly dynamics between two or more characters- though I do try to keep their energies as accurate as possible. The Company of Thorin Oakenshield is joined by another member, outside of the usual tale. Half a hobbit, half a dwarf, all the stubborn pride of her people. Thirteen and a half dwarves, one and a half hobbits. What an interesting Company. "All it takes is for Oin to be hurt, and you will not have a healer. Not a proper one." Mathilda looked Thorin dead in the eye, her heart racing, but her voice remaining smooth, even. "I will be of use."

Paephan was the first of her kin is now the last. They were tasked to keep their oath until their death. Her oath is to keep the line of Durin alive. She joins Thorin and the others in their quest to reclaim Erebor. Little note: so in an interview, Richard Armitage said Thorin is 5'2 Paephan is taller him, like 5'3. As for her physical appearance. There are two things I wanted to stay the same. That her body shape is that of an elf and her wings are gold. As for hair, eyes, skin etc. You can imagine her how ever you wish. Paephan does belongs to me. Everyone and Everything else belongs to J.R. Tolkien

The war is over, voldemort is dead but at what cost? Ginny, Hermione and Luna are helping to restore hogwarts when they go to the dungeons where suddenly a door appears. It seems to call them. What will happen when they go through the door and end up in a complete different dimension? Can they go back? Gandalf is working on a quest. A quest to take back a homeland for the dwarves. He has travelers and even a burglar. All he needs now is a warrior guide. And he knows exactly who to choose. Nyx is a wanderer and a guardian. Since the First Age, the soldier has been fighting. The fearsome warrior has both the skill and knowledge to lead the dwarves of Erebor to their home again. If they'll take her. The past is not something which can be forgotten and sometimes it can be raked up when we least expect it. In the oncoming threat of a calamity, the Greater Magic will respond. No matter where, even if the calamity is far from its influence, it will respond. Gandalf knows this. Elrond knows this. Galadriel, Thranduil, and Saruman know this. But those who know the legend expected something more. Something that wasn't a redheaded spearman who seemed to be just a Man.
