A Thorin x Reader story where you adopt a baby girl on the quest for Erebor, and everything that happens after.

Aria Everwood was one of four sisters, each born with the ability to change into a massive wolf. Ever since one of her youngest sisters had gone missing, Aria was lost; hiding away in the dark woods of her home in the hopes that her pain would leave her. However, by no small chance and the will of a wizard, Aria is called to serve Thorin Oakenshield during his quest to reclaim his mountain. Despite her many reasons as to not join, Aria goes. As the quest progresses, and the Company grow closer, Aria begins to find what she truly has been missing this whole time: A Home. And with the way Thorin continues to grow closer, she begins to speculate the possibility of a Mate. But the journey is still young, and many dangers lie between them and the mountain. Will the darker powers that be crush her fledgling feelings of love, or will the strength and stubbornness of the North Shifter prove her worthy to keep her happiness?
