Meanwhile Thorin is forcing the company to search through the massive piles of gold for the Arkenstone, unaware Bilbo has it in his possession. Y/N has tried to bring Thorin out of his darkness but he refuses to believe he will become like his grandfather. War is coming and the company is thrust into battle and Thorin must overcome this darkness and fight in the war or he will lose everyone... Can Y/N save him?

Heartbroken our Reader finds herself lost in a strange foreign yet familiar land filled with Dwarves and Orcs. Joining the company of Thorin Oakenshield, (Name) travels through the countryside to find a way back to her home with the Avengers.

In many fanfictions, reader insert or otherwise, OC's or reader characters are always adept at nearly everything. But haven't you ever wondered would would really happen if you, or any other ordinary human dropped in to Middle Earth? I know it's fun to pretend to be the hero, to be impressively gifted, because how else could you win the heart of Prince Charming? Well, what if just you could be enough. This is a story with a message very alike the message of the original Hobbit book, and even The Lord of the Rings. This is a story about how an ordinary person can be extraordinary. (Occasional profanity and some violence.) I occasionally go back into previous chapters and edit things to fit the future plot, so if something isn't adding up I probably changed it in an earlier chapter.

Gandalf The Grey and his companion the Lady Faerydae, daughter of the Lady Galadriel, set off on a quest to help the dwarves of Erebor reclaim their homeland. On the way, they encounter many terrifying feats such as orcs, goblins and bears however none of them is as frightening to Thorin than the thought of losing Fae.

"Make the best of what is in your power, and take the rest as it happens." She looked at him amiably, resting her palm on Thorin's shoulder. " Not all things turn out the way we'd expect." Killi marched towards the duo and announced, " Bombur's finished our dinner rations when he tripped out the pot! What do we do Lucy?". She chuckled and took his hand leading him to the group. " Let's work our magic, shall we?" --- The company's quest is a long and dreary exodus.A small slip up by her junior in a spell at a gateway arrangement causes the complicated loss of Bilbo's being from the hobbit universe. What else is the archmage to do but step in and take his place before the world goes awry? This story tells the tale of a sassy, clever and talented young lady compelled into Middle Earth to join forces with the company of 13 feisty dwarfs and a kick ass wizard who is tired of having to stop our heroine from spoiling the plot.
