Those Stories

Maria was born from a rich family. She had everything she ever wanted except her parent's love. They treated her like a puppy, only to be watched over for so long. They neglected her and that action changed her life. Her mother neglected her when they went to the playground. That day became the worst day in her life. Why? Because she was raped at the age of 9 that same day by two men. The two men are in jail now, but that doesn't help. She will always be scarred. Even though Maria is 17 now she still can't get the image of the her screaming for help and the two men laughing, out of her head. Because of that she doesn't live a normal teen life. She doesn't open herself up to anybody except her best friend, Sarah. Is that all about to change when she meets the hot and irresistible Alex? He's out there, unlike her. He's popular, unlike her. She likes him, but brushes it off thinking only she feels that way. He likes her too and can't help to feel that attraction towards her. He wants to get to know her more than he should or she would allow. The only problem is:Will she let him in?

Eyes. Everyone has them. Dark. Boring. Dull. Except me. Blue in a sea of dark, boring, and dullness. My name's Sky, and I defy every rule there is in Shadowglass. Not like I wanted to. And I've got a long journey ahead. [BEST RANKINGS] #2 in Those (uh, tanks?)

The island of Riley is small and unnoticeable. Not many people even know it's there, off the coast of North Carolina. It contains mostly vegetation and lakes, but some villages as well, and some people. Aria Wolfe is one of those people. She lives in the largest village on Riley; the one adjacent to the Rashantii Woods. Many people in her village fear these woods greatly. Children are forbidden to cross the barbed wire that stretches the perimeter of the woods. There isn't any good reason for this striking fear, but that doesn't stop people from letting their imagination get the best of them. One late night in October, Aria follows her sister as she sneaks out to visit the Rashantii Woods. But it's not the woods themselves that are dangerous. It's what lies beyond that causes peril to anyone daring enough to cross the line and leave the island. Other islands aren't as friendly. Sometimes your eyes can deceive you, but is it always just your imagination?

Haley just transferred to Clayton High. Everything is going well until she meets Andrew. Who is he? Why has he taken such a liking to Haley? And how come he seems completely determined to help her? But more importantly, what happens when Andrew finds out the secret of why she transferred? Will he tell the whole school, or will he be able to keep his mouth shut? Clayton High was Haley's chance to start over, but Andrew has the power to ruin it all.
