A village is attacked, leaving only one survivor. Forced to flee for her life, she ends up in Mirkwood. There she meets a handsome elf - King Thranduil. As darkness encroaches ever so slowly on Mirkwood, will they be able to find the source, and stop it, before it's too late?

Aeolin of Lothlorien has been traveling across Middle Earth for a little over a hundred years. After a loss struck her heart, Lothlorien was more of a reminder of it than a home. Aeolin decides to stop by the Woodland Realm to see a friend and, of course, meets the King of Mirkwood. Intrigued by how such a hard man could raise such a kind son, she tends to push her luck with the king and may enjoy it just a bit too much. But perhaps they have far more in common than they both realize? And perhaps the both of them will find something in the other that they've been searching for? *I DO NOT OWN LOTR OR THE HOBBIT. "When she opened her eyes, she recognised the view immediately. She was in Middle-Earth." A young human girl Eleanor sees dreams like any other person. But in her dreams, she has traveled around Middle-Earth and became an elf.

This is the beginning of a challenge that I am making of myself (and for any who will participate) in which I will in a sense role-play as the Thranduil, who is in love with you (or your fictional character/Tolkien character), and will write a personalized letter to anyone who "writes back". I will continue this challenge until June 30, 2019, of which the last letter from Thranduil will be posted. DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own Thranduil, The Hobbit or anything associated with it. Ellendil let the arrow fly from her bow as she said, "I orcs gar- reached i fen!" She jumped over an orc and slid her sword through its back as she turned her gaze on the elf behind her. "Híril Ellendil, I orcs will nia nor- ammen!" the elf said. Ellendil blinked and looked around. "No, they won't," she said when she finally spotted what/who she was looking for. Without a moment's hesitation she flung herself into the fray, striking down any orc that got in her way. Blood splattered her face and finally, she leaped into a tree, drew her bow and loaded an arrow. "Híril Ellendil!" The moon shone in the night sky, and the cold chill of the night air made her breath chilling. She stared at the roaring figure and muttered, "Take down the leader, and you take down the army." Time seemed to stop as she let the arrow fly. It sped through the air slowly, and even slower, the head of the huge figure turned. But it was too late. The arrow struck him in the head, and he fell, dead. "Elldendil! Bellow cin!" Legolas called through the retreating orcs. The tree was shaking, and the orcs swarmed it. Ellendil let more arrows fly, but before she could leap to another tree the branch snapped and she fell into black. * * * Ellendil, younger sister to Legolas, and daughter to Thranduil longs to see beyond Mirkwood. Her deepest desire was to explore beyond Mirkwood, and she did not keep it hidden. With many attempts to escape she is confined to the kingdom and not allowed to enter the trees. In the end she gives up her dream, but all that changes when she meets Elmen. And across the land in Lothlórien the daughter of Galadriel, Elbereth, has not yet found her true love. And in Rivendell, the sister of Arwen and daughter of Elrond, Luthien, is striving to be the best medic she can be. (Ellendil, Elmen, Luthien, and Elbereth are my fanfiction characters. And now, something yearns in the shadows, and a young peculiar elf named Aura will find herself in a hard situation between darkness and light, fate, and the truth. The woods are brewing with a new evil. An evil that is aimed particularly at the weakened Greenwood, and its new king. Will everything be lost in the end?

Having sent his son to join the Fellowship of the Ring, Thranduil's limits are tested. His kingdom and lineage is threatened. Barely able to speak of his wife's death and now exposing his son to a similar fate, the agony emanates from his eyes to Elenya, a Silvan elf who has known the king since his return to Greenwood since the war of the Woodland Realm with the Kingdom of Angmar. Her radiating friendship, having grown into a dearest affection, alleviates his unrest, until again, the White gems of Lasgalen end up stolen. Elenya pleads her king to let her retrieve them. An act of friendship, as she states, only does she hope that the retrieval of the stones will finally open her king's eyes to her. The affection between them could bloom into much more, but his resistance to another is still too strong. Little does she know that the thief of the stones, a black-haired God who bears the name Loki, grows rather interested in her, and is more than willing to claim his price. In her absence, Thranduil at last admits what Elenya means to him, and departs to retrieve her. Will Elenya continue to fight for Thranduil, or fall prey to his enemy, the God of Mischief on Asgard? Thranduil and Loki - OC This is a crossover between Lord of the Rings and Marvel, and is inspired by both in the creation of this new story. Thranduil knew that most in Mirkwood thought his absent Wife had been killed by Orcs in the battle of Gundabad so long ago, that most would call it farcical to even hold onto hope and keep her throne, but there was a reason that there was no grave. Neither Thranduil, nor any of his men had ever found Queen Lothuialdes' body. The search that descended upon the battlefield was thorough, but no corpse was found, and through this the king was brought the ever-sneaking suspicion that his wife had been burned after her death as a symbolic gesture of the utmost disrespect for the Elvish Kingdom. However, through all of the impossibilities, however far fetched it may have been, there was always a tugging inkling of hope in his mind that maybe his Queen had not been overcome that day, that just possibly, she had escaped.
