Set in the future, after war has demolished entire continents and the survivors flock to the Americas. People no longer wage wars or fight about frivolous things, like race and nationality. As far as they are concerned, there is one race, the human race. Power is spread to eighty governing cities that ration food and goods. All seems well until the Trials came along. Children dying for entertainment is never a joyous occasion. When Eliza makes it into one of the boarding school in the nearest governing city she discovers evidence that there is an alternative motive behind the Trials. She quickly finds herself unlocking secrets that could end everything she knows and loves. The Sequel from Eliza's Kids' point of view is already being written so don't worry chapter 55 is not the end.
