"It's been two years since the tragic shipwreck in 2022 that supposedly killed 200 high school freshmen and the 10 teachers on board. Friends, families, and mourners gathered at the high school to honor them."
"But Monica, you said supposedly," Bill noticed. "Does that mean there is a chance that they're alive?"
Monica's face went grim and despite being on TV, she lowered her eyes. Oh, why did she sign up for this story? "Researches have looked into the ship's last known location and say there is a chance there was a mystery island nearby that could have sheltered the kids but if that is the case, it is still unlikely they survived for more than a week." * "Okay." Bill said, his voice weak. He forced himself to look into the camera despite the threatening tears. He looked at the hidden TV and at his next line but he couldn't bring himself to say it. Every time he spoke, the images of his Owen flashed in his mind and he knew he'd be fired for crying on TV. It's the news not reality TV, the manager would say. But he didn't care. He ignored the line and let a single tear fall.
