Elissiel is Thranduil's daughter- making her the Princess of Mirkwood. After years of living on her own, Gandalf the Grey finds her and insists that she goes on the quest to reclaim Erebor. The only problem is that she happened to be very close with the leader of their company, Thorin Oakenshield. Although, she hasn't seen him since Smaug claimed Erebor, and she is worried about how he may feel. Will Elissiel go despite her emotions? What if she finds out the real reason to why she is so different from other elves, also including her future?

Encompasses Thorin's untold life before the Quest of Erebor. Includes details such as the existences and eventual deaths of Frerin and Víli (Fili and Kili's father), the disappearance and search for Thráin, Fili and Kili's upbringing with Thorin as their father figure, how Thorin came to know the members of his company prior to the Quest, and Thorin's experiences with the status of King of Durin's Folk while living a life of burden, yet hope for his kin in exile and for himself. (I will be blending content from Tolkien and the Peter Jackson films to try and satisfy both fans. Therefore, there will be differences in events and how they transpired, along with my own creative improvisation.) The characters and places belong to Tolkien. A thousand years before Biblo baggins ever found the one ring, before Smaug was even born, a beautiful elleth was suppose to marry the Prince of Mirkwood to make sure the elves of Rivendell and Mirkwood stayed allies if another threat ever posed again after Sauron. As any arranged marriage goes, both were not trusting towards one another in the beginning. All was well until Thranduil found out the elleth's secret. Thranduil, ashamed by the secret, broke the marriage and banished the elleth from Mirkwood. The elleth, sad beyond grief, vanished from Middle Earth. Her name was ruined and a lesson to those who wanted to do such a thing. Of course, that was only the beginning to a long awaited adventure. A thousand years later that same elleth is now saving a company of dwarves and helping them reclaim their homeland. Will the elleth ever see the prince again? Disclaimer, this book is a Legolas fanfiction. It starts when the dwarves are surrounded by the entrance of Rivendell. The book will then continue into the Lord of the Rings.
