Thyroid gland, located in below your Adam's apple creates hormones & controls how your body uses energy & your body's sensitivity to other hormones. It's part of the endocrine system, that includes all the glands in your body that regulate essential functions.

Thyroid cancer is a kind of malignant growth that beginnings in the thyroid organ. The disease starts when cells start to outgrow control. The thyroid organ produces chemicals that assist with directing your digestion, pulse, circulatory strain, and internal heat level. Types of thyroid cancer The most important types of thyroid cancer are: • Differentiated • Medullary • Anaplastic (aggressive cancer)

Kayla Coleman is terminal. Stage four thyroid cancer that now covers her whole body. She is unable to leave her hospital bed in Toronto. Some days, she loses consciousness. She is fed through a tube in her stomach and hydrated through her IV bag, since her cancer has left her unable to swallow. Her life is what some would call, pathetic. Kayla's boyfriend Remington is always at her side. Rather on the days she's aware of her surroundings and able to communicate, the days she's unconscious most of the time, or the days she's comatose....he never fails to be there for the love of his life. Some days, he just does classwork on his computer and holds her hand....but his presence is appreciated, even though Kayla does not always have the ability to express so. Remington, as well as Kayla's family, must cope with the fact that their time with their loved one is limited. Death stalks Kayla like a predator watching its prey....it is simply creeping closer and closer waiting for the chance to strike. Death has struck Kayla a few times already....on the operating table, in an elevator, while being held by Remington. It is only a matter of time before she is gone for good. Her family, especially her boyfriend, are determined to make the most of her final earthly days. Because with Kayla....they never know when her time expires. There is no prediction for when she will leave this world; so they must treat every day as though it's her last. They're trying to give Kayla the world from her lonely hospital bed.

Aang has always had a knack for getting in odd situations. This situation on the other hand, he had no control over. The situation in question, is sitting the hospital with thyroid cancer. They said it's non fatal and is rare. That doesn't mean he isn't worried for his overall health. All Aang has to do is stay in the hospital for three weeks. After that he should be fine. During his stay he has a very interesting roommate. And not just because he has half his face burnt to a crisp. This is Aang's stay in the Republic City's hospital. ~♡~ Just to be clear Zuko and Aang will get together eventually. They will kiss and stuff. In her eyes is based off of a few of my favorite novels, The fault in our stars By John Green, Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace, and The blood of the lamb By Peter de Vries. These books are fantastic and I seriously recommend reading them. I have never found my eyes extraordinary, I think there just ordinary eyes but for me ordinary is extraordinary but besides that, I have never found anything about me extraordinary,other than the fact I have Thyroid cancer that has spread to my bronchiole ,I guess you could call that extraordinary, it's difficult being me and knowing my lungs are basically crap. So this is why I think that eyes are so important when your as sick as me you learn to appreciate the nice things about you, there isn't much but I have grown fond of my eyes.
