John lost his family in a freak accident; he found a memory chip on the location of the incident and decided to find out if those telephone numbers found on the chip have anything to do with the accident. The whirlwind journey took him to Okinawa - where he deals with a family that has issues with the American occupation in Okinawa, Lhasa - he tries to help the locals on saving CHIRU, the Tibetan antelope almost wiped out by illegal poaching for its soft fur, Kashmir - he meets a doctor whose life is disturbed by ongoing conflict between India & Pakistan over Kashmiri issues , New York - he works with a guy whose life was turned upside down by the global financial crisis and Portland Island in UK - he helps a guy whose life was seriously affected by Yobs in the streets of United Kingdom. In the course of the journey, he learned to see things differently and achieved a lot more than it would have been possible otherwise. Read the book and find out what he had actually done during his time in those places and the life he had managed to change for others. Author's Note: I write to generate fund for my family charity ISSLCARE which helps finance poor families in Nepal so they can send children to school.

For many years I have been intrigued by the multi-faceted life of Alexandra David-Neel who lived from 1868 to 1969. She lived for nearly one hundred and one years - years rich with adventure and mystery. Alexandra was a student radical in her youth, and went on to have a career as an opera singer, later becoming a feminist journalist who journeyed to India, Tibet and China. At the age of 55 she trekked incognito to the "forbidden city" of Lhasa, Tibet enduring incredible hardships. She produced thirty books including "My Journey to Lhasa" and "Magic and Mystery in Tibet." Her life and writings had a profound influence on the Beat culture and the emergence of American Buddhism. "Incognito: A Novel of Alexandra David-Neel" is a fictional work in progress. To confuse matters further, it is told from two different points of view - "Beyond the Garden Gate" is third person while "Alexandra" is first person point of view.

In October 1991, Tom Joyce was one of three partners in a successful San Francisco advertising agency. He had been blessed with a precocious nine-year-old son, a beautiful pregnant wife and what looked like a bright future. Life had other plans. The firestorm in the Oakland Hills spared his family but took everything else, precipitating a decade of spiritual disruption, tearing him away from a comfortable suburban life and compelling him to the far corners of the Earth. Heretic is a memoir chronicling this ten years of personal upheaval and reorientation, a journey from the fragrant gardens and gritty streets of Kathmandu to the polished marble and prayer rugs of Mecca's Masjid al-Haram, a grueling trek across the Himalaya to the mythic Mount Kailash in Western Tibet, culminating with a near-death-rebirth in the murderous human crush of the Sa'udi Jamarat. Before this unorthodox pilgrimage concludes, Joyce will stand naked beneath Tibet's "Stairway to Heaven," witness his father's last breath, taste his own blood mixed with ouzo on the summit of Olympus, discover "the Contraries" in a Greek Orthodox monastery on Mount Athos, face self-delusion in the arms of a sensual oracle at Delphi and stare into the cold eyes of a virulent mutation of Islam that will soon challenge the values and moral fabric of Western civilization. Throughout this five-part narrative, Joyce examines the heretical origins, gradual evolution into religious orthodoxies and inevitable corruption of the world's great spiritual traditions-in the process discovering an underlying path-common to all faiths-wherein spirit and flesh merge and transcend cultural differences. Heretic asks universal questions and posits some unorthodox answers, in the process exposing the long-accepted lies propagated by entrenched dogmas that blind human beings to their true nature.

If you're planning a trip to Tibet, choosing the right travel agency is crucial for a safe and enjoyable journey. Here are some tips to help you find the right one: Look for a licensed agency: Make sure the Tibetan Tourism Bureau licenses the agency you choose. This ensures they are operating legally and have the necessary permits to take you to restricted areas. Check their reviews: Read online reviews from past customers to get an idea of their level of service and reliability. Look for reviews from people who have travelled to Tibet specifically. Ask for recommendations: Ask friends, family, or colleagues who have travelled to Tibet for recommendations on reputable travel agencies they have used. Inquire about their itineraries: Look for an agency that offers a variety of itineraries and can customize one to fit your specific needs and interests. Consider their expertise: Choose an agency with experienced staff knowledgeable about the local culture, history, and customs. Check their pricing: While price should not be the sole factor in your decision, it's important to ensure the agency is transparent about their pricing and there are no hidden fees. Inquire about their safety measures: Safety should always be a top priority, especially when travelling to a remote area like Tibet. Ask the agency about their safety measures, including their emergency protocols. By following these tips, you can find a reliable and trustworthy travel agency to guide you on your journey to Tibet. Remember to do your research and ask questions before making your final decision.

A party of six Chinese college students finally arrived at their dream destination of Tibet, where things took an unexpected turn - one of them was found dead by the divine Yamdrok Lake while the other ended up missing. Police suspected the worst, that the missing boy had killed the girl and ran away since they found evidence of him heavily in debt from irresponsible spending; in reality, the boy woke up in a place that was definitely not in Tibet, and perhaps not even in our world. In what he later found was Moonlightsville, the place was shielded by the power of the Temple of Immortality, which was sought after by a mysterious organization responsible for multiple murders. An autopsy showed that the girl's death could not have been natural, not from current human technology at least. Could experts in Beijing help Tibetan police solve the impossible? What was the purpose of the Temple?
