Malaiah grew up without ever knowing what it felt like to be held by her parents' love. At a young age, tragedy took them away, leaving her with memories she never got to form and a life she never chose. Sa murang edad, natuto siyang tumayo sa sarili niyang mga paa, pilit binubuo ang isang buhay na kahit kailan ay hindi naging madali.
She lived under the roof of her aunt, natutunan niyang manahimik, sumunod, at magtiis, hindi dahil gusto niya, kundi dahil iyon lamang ang tanging lugar na maaari niyang tawaging tahanan habang tinatahak ang kanyang pag-aaral.
Aiah learned early how to disappear in plain sight. It became instinct, whenever she felt her presence grew too heavy, too complicated, too much to carry, she would quietly step back. Distance became her language of self-preservation, a way to keep others safe from the emotional chaos she had long learned to endure alone.
But Tibo Alexandre didn't respond the way she expected people to. He didn't flinch at her silence, nor did he take her withdrawal as a final answer.
Will Aiah stay where silence keeps her safe, or will Tibo become the sound that lingers long enough to break
what she never thought could be heard again?
