Tides Stories

The idea behind this 99 Poem Challenge group project is to build a folder of poems that are all completely different in style . The challenge is also to complete within a year and to be inspired and inspire others to try new styles. Within each poem itself there is a basic description of its type or style and any specific rules involved. Special thanks to @cristinaaragon for the cover design.

Terrien has lived a full life filled to the brim with ups&downs. Now she reflects on all her times spent in her most beloved place The Tides. How can such a roller coaster of a life leave her so fulfilled? To what exactly did her decisions lead to? Only she and few others can say.

This is a short story (Winglet in WoF terms) that is about Orca's backstory. This is about how she became power hungry and what devastation it brought to her family. t includes her mother, father, girlfriend/best friend, her cousin, and her uncle. We were just like everyone else aboard the Great Adrestia. We were the same, except for the fact that we were women. They thought we brought bad omens, so they bound us and threw us over board into the ocean. Even if one of us were rich. Even if one of us were only thirteen. Even if one of us were blind, or in love with a crew member. But this isn't a love story. This is a revenge story.

Now I'm guessing you think that my story is a heart wrenching tale of star crossed lovers who were never meant to be... well I guess that's just Romeo and Juliet but still. My story isn't like that I promise. Sure there are some sad moments but every ones life has it's sad moments. The real thing that counts is all the happy moments. Oh and did I mention that I have a really bad fear of planes...
