Tighnari's life was never easy. Since he turned sixteen he had to take care of his sister after their parents passing, and now, when everything seemed to finally be getting right, the library he was working at bankrupted. After a longer while he finally managed to get a job in the suburbs of the Sumeru city, as a secretary at a police station. And there he was, a young policeman named Cyno, whom he started noticing lately, visiting his favourite cafe. Cocky and way too sure of himself, Cyno immediately started hitting on him. Is their work relationship gonna become something more one day...? Is he gonna fall for the charms of his addictive personality? They will not have much time to figure it out... all of sudden, people of Sumeru began to disappear in unknown circumstances. Will they find the mysterious kidnapper before he finds them..? Will they manage to save the people who dissapeared, or are they gonna dissappear along with them..?

One of the criteria for Cyno's graduation from the Akademiya, much to his chagrin, isa cross-disciplinary project with researchers from other Darshans. That is when Lisa refers him to Tighnari, a student of the Amurta Darshan. Little does Lisa know how well the two will end up getting along ... Or, Cynonari meet cute. I hope to write from their early Akademiya days when they first meet, up until the present day in the story. Some attempts at canon compliance/canon world building, but I am just writing this for fun, so sorry if I make any mistakes. Pre-Canon (before the traveler was in Sumeru) azar had anti-queer rules put in the akademiya bc he's a homophobic lil shit and they haven't been changed yet. There is a book (bible metaphor) called "The Archon's Will" that was made by bigoted scholars to encourage conformity and control people. It has lines that are anti-queer. One day Tighnari decided that Collei was finally ready to go with him. The withering zones were getting smaller and less dangerous so Tighnari thought that she could learn a thing or two if she went woth them. That would be his biggest regret ever. When they were fighting of the enemy's one of them hit Collei with something poisonous. After some analyzing they found out that the only way to cure her is to use a mixture of some herbs and plants that you could only find in the desert. No one ever dared to go there, after all the desert is the most dangerous place in Sumeru. Tighnari who still felt guilty decided that he would travel to the desert to find the herbs and plants to heal her. Whilst traveling through the desert he met a very interesting companion, who'll help him with his quest but maybe also with something else~ This is my second story ever. It's a fanfic about Cyno x Tighnari. I just love this ship so I had to write this✨
