IN WHICH Coriolanus and Rose were friends, a long time ago, before life has made them into the heinous, desperate and sinful creatures that they are now. Now, he's on the track to rule all of Panem and she is an outcast. Locked in district's military bases for most of her life, disallowed an entry into society and unable to create personal collections, if Rose were to die, she's fairly certain no one would lay a flower on her grave. The issue of her father's heritage made her a nuisance. If not for her mother's Capitol blood, she'd be hanged or imprisoned. Instead, after her father's trial and subsequent execution, she was raised under Capitol's tutelage. Now, having spend years of "paying her dues" in the districts, she is finally admitted to the University. A chance is put before her: prove her worth as a Panem citizen, or stay a nobody. But the proposition is more of a trap than an opportunity and when Coriolanus Snow, the one good memory from her childhood, appears in the halls, memories of her past sins start to bother more than ever. Coriolanus, despite his recently gained status and power, cannot seem to forget the events of last spring that haunt his dreams, either. A murderer and a killer, childhood friends, and two players in a game bigger than themselves - or, perhaps, simply two people who, more than anything, long for someone to tell them they're not alone.

Meet Bella-Rose Baird, born in the mud and soot of the woods in District 12, and grew up to be the center of attention for the Capitol. This is her story and her journey through the 25th Hunger Games and what a Baird-Snow can do if you piss her off. Bella-Rose is two things; a Snow Fox and The Songbird That Never Died.

After Coriolanus Snow returns to the Capitol and begins his internship with Dr. Gaul as well as University, he feels the need to blend in more and the best way to do that is by finding a girl that he cannot love. Livia Cardew is the perfect fit. While he attempts to distract himself from his moments in district 12, he struggles to deal with the idea of Lucy Gray being alone wandering through the woods holding his deepest secrets, or even worse... being dead from a gun he shot at her. *I've attempted to make this as realistic as possible to what most likely happens as Snow rises to power*

Coriolanus never hated the Plinth boy, he had merely gotten on his nerves one too many times. But in the time that tributes are reaped, the two become mentors, and Coriolanus leads Lucy Grey to victory, they grow close. Closer than Coriolanus can handle.
