Coriolanus never hated the Plinth boy, he had merely gotten on his nerves one too many times. But in the time that tributes are reaped, the two become mentors, and Coriolanus leads Lucy Grey to victory, they grow close. Closer than Coriolanus can handle.

If Coriolanus were to be President of Panem, he'd have to marry, and it had to be someone he could never love.
