Midtown Manhattan, circa 1978. The scene is Studio 54, at the height of the disco era. And the fabric of time and space is about to be unraveled by the assassination of Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco. The only way to avoid this catastrophe is sending two Time Lords, Seana (the Alternate Eleventh Gladiator) and Miya (the Third Tinkerer), to protect the legendary singer and uncover the identity of her assassin. But, as always, they have even more to worry about with their precocious 10-year-old companion, Craig Williams, and a rookie time agent.

Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi jump into a photo to save a loved one from dying. Lu Guang is working through his life at the moment. Loans, depression, having white hair in his early 20s, his pining for his best friend. It all seemed so chaotic, but no matter what, at least he has Cheng Xiaoshi by his side. Cheng Xiaoshi is having the best time of his life. A new job, his best friend is his co-worker, using his powers to good use, but he notices his best friend is kind of off lately. He investigates to find out his ails.

Cheng Xiaoshi is the owner of the Time Photo Studio. His job is to enter the photos that his customers give him and fix their regrets. When he enters the photo world, he takes on the identity of the person who took the photo. He gets their memories, emotions, and even their tone of voice. But this does not mean that he forgets his real identity. He just tries to do what they want instead of them. Of course, while doing this, he is careful not to change the past. Because changing the past can cause a big problem. That's why he always listens to the directions of his partner Lu Guang. He also has the ability to follow what is happening in the photo world. Together, they run the Time Photo Studio.
