The TARDIS breaks down and he goes to find some sort of civilization. There, he meets this soldier named Natalya, or Talya for short. And that's where the story really begins...

She's been living on the streets of New York City since she was a little girl, so when the Great Depression rolled around, she was more than equipped. She's fiery, has insane survival skills, and a compassion for people beyond imagination. And then came the Daleks, Martha Jones, and the Doctor going around changing everything.
