Sam has a secret that no one besides her best friend Nick knows about. Every May 16th, something...bizarre happens to her. She flashes forward to a random point in her future, living one full day in a life she hasn't lived yet-until she falls asleep and wakes up right back where she started. With each jump, Sam meets new people who seem to know her better than she knows herself. But no matter when-or where-she lands, Nick is always her constant. As the years unfold out of order, Sam records each glimpse of the future on cassette tapes-1999, 2004, 2008, 2014, 2020-until her final tape sends her to 2024. Piece by piece, she begins to assemble a life she hasn't lived yet-and uncover truths she may not be ready to face. Still, until the jumps stop, she has no choice but to keep going...one borrowed day at a time.

This is a fictional diary entries of a 20 year old girl, whom she wrote for her future children. All her thoughts, experiences and regrets are poured into it - hoping that her children in the future could learn something from their mother's past. It's almost like a time capsule, only it is in written form.

In 2012, Maddison Westbrook lost her older brother Blake to a car accident. The memory of her brother is tainted with the fact that the boy she loved was responsible for the collision. This short story was featured in the Verndale Sun and Browerville Blade newspapers in central MN. (This is the semi-final draft and somewhat improved version.)

I just decided to let out some things and rant. It helps. I'll talk about life and all those things and hopefully one day in the future I'll look back at this and be all like, "Wow, younger me was such an emotional idiot." Then again, I could be dead tomorrow. Good thing, Future Me seems like a jerk. Also, I might do poems or short stories. Depends.
