But on the other hand, her 16-year-old sister Aurelia was deemed powerless. Or so they thought. Even though Aurelia was "Powerless," she still takes care of her sister like a parent. The reason Aurelia took the responsibility as Valerie's guardian was because their parents disappeared after Valerie turned two. Aurelia is given doubts about her survival in this world while her sister is given honor and praise. Until Valerie catches Aurelia training her element. It was an unknown element, but Aurelia called it "Broken Galaxies." This "Broken Galaxies" of hers allowed her to move animate and inanimate objects with what looked like shards of galaxies, stop time, and even travel to different time periods. Valerie being curious about the past and future, asked if they could travel through time and see the truth of the history in the past. Will they get caught in the act, or live through this adventure of theirs? Cover and pictures in story are AI generated. I update once every 10 years (practically) AI messed up the original design I had for Aurelia, so it the picture of her in the story is different from the cover, just know that's why. Story is going to be in mostly Aurelia's POV and sometimes Valerie's.

I once read a theory which said that if you travel to the past you can't remember your future, why? Well, when you travel to the past everything goes backward, right? The physical state of people regresses, an elderly person who travels to the past, would look younger upon arrival. Then, according to the theory, since the mind is part of the physical state, it also regresses, or better said, the information that is in the mind regresses, memories regress. Therefore, a person who travels to the past wouldn't be able to remember their future, wouldn't even realized that has traveled to the past. Now refutable or not, it's just a theory, but this one got me thinking and I asked myself: What would happen if it was really not possible to transport information through time? What if you traveled to the past with a mission, but when you arrive you don't remember what you went for, what's more, you are not even aware that you come from the future and you just live your life as if it were just another day? I invite you to read the story of Ahysy, an organization that sends an agent to the past and, when communicating with him, discovers that he not only doesn't remember his mission , but, moreover, he doesn't have any future memory. He just lies there, therrified, without knowing where the voices in his head come from. He don't know if they are real real, demons, or if he's just going crazy. His mind being transported away. --- So distantly far away there is a race that advanced to the point where they built dyson spheres to house their civilizations. In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn't age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth's hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. Where money itself is the highest form of their science.
