1979. The story begins in California. An 8-year-old Maxine meets Cassian, though he's a mysterious figure, the two become friends. Yet his arrival is met with his swift disappearance from her life. Little did the two know that they'd meet up in Hawkins once more in 1984, and one hell of a reunion it will be. The first couple chapters are short and might feel slow but give it a chance for me to get back into the feel of this as I haven't written anything in a while... and cringe a lot at my own work... be kind please and enjoy. Their encounters go from an accidental meeting on the street to an art exhibition in her room, when he shows up at the orphanage in the middle of the night. What will happen when he'll find out about her dreams? WIll Lizzie finally have her questions answered? About who she is, who her parents were and why they abandoned her with nothing but a strange jammed watch to keep her company? Lizzie will have to travel through time and space, meet people and aliens, friends of the Doctor and all of his different regenerations. All under a false identity, in an attempt to prevent a collapse in the time's continuum. What will happen when she will fall in love with her childhood hero, as she bounces from timeline to timeline and discovers things about his past? She'll have to figure this all out as quickly as she can, for she doesn't have much time left: with every second that passes, her end crawls closer and closer... Bay Locke escaped from Gallifrey's war where all the Timelords (except the Doctor) died. She was a baby, and all she had was a TARDIS, a sonic pen, and a bit of luck. Instead of landing on the orphanage steps like her parents intended her to when they let her go before the war began, she spent around 900 years orbiting in space, unconscious, and not aging, until she reached Earth looking like a six-year-old. Now, in modern-day Boston, she grows up somewhat normally as a thirteen-year-old girl with adoptive parents, although she has unexplainable nightmares that could only be of the war on Gallifrey, and only feels whole looking up at the stars. How long were the 'Dark Times', as the Doctor calls them? After Amy and Rory? Enough time for another companion, perhaps. Just enough for one girl who was never mentioned, or maybe just forgotten.
