This story is about rose and the doctor if they had not parted, If they had stayed together through all these years.

People seem to forget she's smart when she talks about her life with the Doctor as if it isn't over. She sees the looks, the pity they all have on their faces. And she hates it, the pity burns because they might be right. But she doesn't lose hope, she never has, not in the Doctor.

Por primera vez desde que vive con su familia, el Doctor comienza a sentir que algo le falta a esa felicidad; al mismo tiempo en que la TARDIS empieza a recordarle constantemente a esa persona que aún trata de olvidar. Por otro lado... Rose cree que la monotonía es la mejor forma de huir de su mente, ya que, después de muchos años, el pasado sigue siendo un fantasma constantemente cernido sobre ella. A ambos les duele recordar al otro; pero el hecho de estar en mundos diferentes, de alguna extraña manera, los ayuda a concentrarse en olvidar, o al menos eso es lo que piensan. Por eso mismo, el destino les tiene preparada una mala pasada: Un accidente que provoca que sus caminos vuelvan a cruzarse. Ahora, ambos deben trabajar obligatoriamente juntos si quieren que todo vuelva a su normalidad. ¿Qué podría salir mal?
