Tanya (Played by Jenna Ortega) and her family moved from Arizona to San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, CA to start fresh. Her mother (Played by Winona Ryder) wanted to raise their unborn child in a better and fresher environment. Her father (Played by Gael Garcia) thought it was a great idea due to more job opportunities California had to offer. Tanya was a bit of a loner and didn't really bond with anyone back home. She was always seen as the oddball at her old school. This didn't bother her at all, she was sure of herself and didn't care what everyone thought. Since she never grew up with any other sibling's, her bond with her parents was inseparable. Her father loved baseball and grew up with it. He wanted to do the same for her daughter and share the same passion with her. This resulted her love for baseball... she's been playing since she was 3 years old. She only really played with her father because no other girl had any interest in the sport as much as she did. Thankfully, there was another family that also moved in right next to her. She wasn't the only "New kid in the block." While moving in, she noticed a tall boy with tan skin and a dodger's hat walk pass to her and her new neighbor.
