A short story for the #TimsColdBrewStories contest and an added scene to "The Crinkled Page" The Crinkled Page When days go by and a community pulls together to help new parents find their baby, eyes start to fall on the parents. Lark and Todd need each other more than ever to do everything they can, including, considering the unusual, and uncover what happened to their baby. *** Lark and Todd's world has forever changed. They are new parents to a baby boy they named Westley. Lark stepped away from her full-time job and Todd is supportive of her choice to stay home and raise their baby. She adores spending her days caring for and sharing her interests, including books with Westley and makes it a habit to read stories to him from a collection of children's books handed down from her mother. It all started one evening after putting Westley to bed. An old book she was reading to Westley earlier, catches her eye. Lark is tired, but it looks like the picture on the open page is moving. Lark knows that a sleep-deprived mind can see things that are not there. Doubt comes into play. What if the image was really moving? What if that old book is about to cause a whole lot of trouble? As events take a shattering turn and their baby goes missing, Lark has to learn to trust her instincts, be patient with Todd, and find a way to bring her family home.

Fifteen-year old Emma Winter's older sister works at Tim Hortons. During a uneventful Sunday, when she decides to visit that coffee shop, she is greeted by her crush, who also seems to work there.

Everything changes for the better when y/n meets cold brew. Get lost in the fantasy like love story between you and your beloved cold brew coffee.

*** "Hey! How can I . . ." he trailed off suddenly, glancing up from the tablet at me. In that split second, I noted two things. One, the guy looked like a second-year university student just like me. He had straight black hair that fell just above his ears, warm brown eyes, and round silver wire-framed glasses. Dully, I noticed that he was also quite good-looking. Two, I saw it in his face when he took in my expression and managed to deduce that today was not a good day. ** Break-ups are always hard. Alina Song knows this as well as the next person. No matter what though, they always hurt. Every time. When she broke up with her ex-boyfriend of two years, Alina was left heartbroken in the midst of what was supposed to be a summer of joy. However, the sun always rises again, even when the nights are particularly long and cold. And so it was for her as well. Only this time, the light came from a restaurant of comforting memories, a soothing drink, and a simple smile from an understanding stranger who would soon become her next sun.
