Tips from someone who only recently started using Wattpad and has only consistently been writing fiction for a year. An auto-correct dependent noob is probably not the best person to give advice. I mean, I'm not even big deal enough to hire someone for cover art. Well, now that I'm done making you pity me, here's what I'm planning on giving in this book: Random advice for newbie writers as I learn to write. Specifically, advice on how to write fiction. And I know my advice will sound counter-intuitive at times. And yes, my explanations will stink. My advice might actually only work for me! And thus, I have said more pointless words. Anyways, I hope my tips at least amuse you. Warnings: This is mostly about character creation. Sorry. I know I've been getting opinional lately so... if there's something here that leaves out other writing styles or demeans other writing styles, please notify me. I honestly don't even notice when I do this. I just wanna clarify that guys is not meant to mean only men but just all readers in general. I'm not writing this based off of knowledge and experience, as these are almost entirely brain-dumps. If there's anything in here that's wrong, please notify me so that I can correct it. Thank you.

Do you find yourself writing he nodded, she shook her head, he shrugged, over and over again? It gets tedious, and doesn't help at all when it comes to pin pointing your character's actual emotions. So I've made a book using notes I've been collecting over a few years to help you chose an alternative way to show that your character is angry, or sad, etc, plus many other writing tips and resources. Doesn't, he blinked at his watch, read better than, he looked at his watch ? Doesn't, he slugged across the wet cement, read better than, he walked down the street slowly. Avoid the white room in your story and replace telling with showing to give your readers a much better experience. **** When Alice storms across the room instead of walks, we know she's angry. We're expecting suspense. We're waiting for the next action. Maybe she'l punch a wall? Shout at her friend? Much better than, Alice walked across the room angrily, which gives your reader nothing to imagine.
