Molly McCormack has a knack for getting into trouble. Just ask the playground monitor Mrs. Meeney who is wearing out the school hallways dragging Molly to the principal's office. Molly has a rap sheet longer than any previous student of Saint Bernadette's. A dubious honor, but an honor nonetheless. All that pales in comparison to the new adventure Molly has set out for. Enlisting her some-time friend and childhood annoyance Conor Doyle, Molly and Conor decide to investigate a mysterious expanse of wood that has survived on her family's property for centuries. Lost children, mysterious sightings, and mournful wails can all be traced back to these woods, ominously referred to as "The Moat". What no one knows, and what Molly and Conor are about to discover is that sheltered within the protective wood of the Moat is the gateway to the legendary Tír na nÓg: The Land of Eternal Youth. Now suddenly Molly and Conor are encountering Merrows, Banshees, Faeries, and Pookas, none of whom are happy upon their arrival. A murder is discovered and a prophetic book goes missing. Accusing fingers are pointed their way. They have to act fast to clear their names and find the legendary book for as each day passes without the book recovered, inhabitants of Tír na nÓg are vulnerable to sorrow, sickness, and even death. ***************** Constructive comments welcome. If you like or dislike the story, please explain why. Don't just say: Love it! (though that's far better than "It sucks!") :-)

Desire so cold it was almost hot crept up her spine as she felt his grip tighten on her, his breath like winter air against her ear as he whispered, " How could you forget the world you belong to? How could you forget me? I have been watching for so long. We all have been. Now its time, come back to us. " ~ It was fate, as the stories always say, but maybe it isn't always for the best. Maybe, fate had a cruel part to play in this story, but that's for you to decide ~

A beautiful young Elf lies and cheats her way into the heart of the Elven crown prince of Ashlenair, tricking him into marrying her and giving her his reverential family heirloom, the Moon Ring. Her pride, however, forces her to boast, and the ring is eventually stolen. She manipulates her husband into sending a war party after it, in a bid to retrieve her precious prize. The war party fails: the Moon Ring is lost, but a cross species war that threatens to destroy the planet and everyone on it is the result. Laoch, a young Elf from a Guards village just within the boundaries of Ashlenair, has grown up hearing of the fabled Moon Ring and how the wicked Dwarves stole it and started a war over six thousand ago. Laoch knew the story as well as anyone, he just didn't care. Ever since his best friend was killed by a group of Dwarven Scouts, his unwavering faith in the war had finally faltered. He just wanted the war to be over. His friend, a scandalously independent female, tells him a story of a Woodland Faery, who was supposedly the last person known to have seen the Moon Ring. The story plants the seed for a marvellous plan to trek across Tirnanog, to the forest the Woodland Faeries had made their home, and track down the Moon Ring. There is one very big problem though, in these days of fear and suspicion, nothing comes for free - everything has a price. And what makes Laoch’s situation even worse? Everywhere you went you had to be careful of an attack, as, what had started as a fight between Elves and Dwarves had escalated, until everyone but the most peaceful of races had joined. Now the whole world was in danger but Laoch was determined to save it. Hard? All he had to do was find a mythical ring that was said to have disappeared without a trace over six millennia ago…

3 kids. 3. Random. Kids. Why did myth choose them? No one will ever know the ways of folklore. 3 kids all united by a similar, strange happening in their lives-and it took them to their adventure. Amerisa, Sam, and Kolsten all end up in a magical place of Irish legend called Tír na nÓg. They have to find their way out, and once they do, their lives are turned around. They must figure out how to bring everything back to normal, back to the way it used to be, or major things could go wrong-but life always seems to beat the message down on them: Once a soul is changed, it can't be changed back to it's original dimensions. And this secret they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. A/N I had this unpublished for a while cuz I was gonna go through the chapters and edit them to make them better, and I got to like, chapter three before I was like, nah. So this isn't my best work and some small details might be inconsistent, but still, please read on!

I ran my hand across my chin wiping up the blood. "You punched me." I stated blatantly. She snickered and her clones laughed. "Damn right I did, bitch. That's what you get for messing with my-" I slugged her back exerting as much force as I could into my fist. Without saying anything I turned around and walked away as she screamed about how I had broken her nose and for someone to call the police. My name is Orion. And I apparently attract drama. © Keely Hardin 2015
