It was just supposed to be a drunken stumble in the dark.
No strings, no consequences.

He hadn't gained weight, yet at least. Digging deep into his memory he tried to recall how his mothers pregnancies went. An image of her strolling confidently through the castle gardens, stomach heavy and round.
It wasn't that he didn't want children, he did. Late in the night he imagined hearing small footsteps running down the hall, followed by shrieks and cries of delight. A game of tag like his siblings had played.
Now please understand that he was happy with this. The problem was the father.
