Kaidence Grayborn was an ordinary Shadowhunter, she had a parabatai and lived at an institute like any other shadow hunter. Until one day Sebastian Morgenstern arrived and kidnapped the head of the institute, making Kaidence and her parabatai, Jasper Lightwood, leave for America to go to the New York Institute and stay with Jasper's cousins, the Lightwoods.

Clary has always been in New York. With her mother and her brother Jonathan, their father died in a war shortly after Clary was born. Her brother's Parabtai, Jace, Is one of her best friends. Jace lives at the institute with Isabelle, Alec, and Max Lightwood. As the gang becomes closer and they become more experienced in there profession, they realize a new evil is stirring. Or at least has been ever since Valentine was killed. They must destroy this force before it destroys them and their world.

Asmodeus lets Simon Lewis send out letters to his close friends from the Shadow World saying goodbye to them before all his memories are lost. The letters pull at everyone's emotions differently, ultimately making the goodbye harder for them but more worth it. This short fanfic is emotional, but I wanted to make it because I felt like we didn't really get to see how Izzy and everyone felt after returning to Idris without Simon, and this story explores it more.
