That was the one word I've always been told my whole life while living here. "The Glade is safe." "The rules keep us safe." "Staying within these walls keep us safe." And I always followed those rules. Everything was fine. Everything was good. Life in the Glade couldn't have been any better. No change ever came to these rules. Until the new guy arrived. Suddenly, things started changing. And not for the better. I was also not the only girl in the glade now that another was suddenly sent in. "She's the last one ever." What is that supposed to mean? Maybe the Glade isn't as safe as I used to think anymore. (All Maze Runner characters and original stories belong to James Dashner and Wes Ball (for the movie))

Eight years after the first group of subjects found themselves on the grass around the Box, followed suit by others, a girl sets foot in the Glade. She has to find her place in that nightmarish version of Heidi's paradise, and learn to navigate being the first and only girl there. A thing that comes with many pros, many cons and a bunch of guys not realising how hot they are (besides Minho, he knows), especially Newt. "I took the stars from my eyes and then I made a map And knew that somehow I could find my way back Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too So I stayed in the darkness with you." Original character(s)'s description is going to be left as irrelevant as possible so that the reader can imagine themselves as her. I just needed more Newt (and the others) in my life... this is a very self-indulgent fanfiction. Some topics may be heavy for some readers, but they are all already explored in canon.

Aurora is a bold fiery redhead that arrives in the Glade the same way everyone else did. Except that she's the only girl in a Glade of boys. She befriends them, and quickly proves herself. She adjusts to the like in the Glade quickly and even finds herself enjoying it. But will her happiness last? Or will strange things start to happen in the Glade?
