[COMPLETED] While Thomas and Teresa were made to share one another's thoughts, Y/N and Newt were made to share one another's pain. They were just one of WICKED's many awful experiments in hopes of finding a cure. When they were younger and under constant surveillance by WICKED, the experiment was mostly harmless. Small cuts and bruises which could be felt by the other person weren't an issue. It was when WICKED chose to begin putting people in the maze, putting their lives at stake, causing them to endure more than just physical pain was when things became dangerous. She awoke to the sound of groaning chains, straining and cracking under pressure. At first, her eyes were heavy, awkward. It was as if she was awakening from her death, as if the girl was awakening in spite of the fact that she was sleeping. Her muscles ached and her stomach churned with the cranking of the metal that seemed to encapsulate her. Upon finally peeling her eyes open, she was unsure if she had indeed succeeded. Darkness surrounded her, leaving her completely defenseless. She attempted to pull herself upright, her head spinning and her eyes closing in hopes to calm her queasy stomach. Although she seemed awake, the thick fog of sleep still clung to her unconscious brain, making her reactions slow and her thoughts jumbled. A crash ricocheted through the small space where she was, the chains screaming to a halt, and a red light is switched on. The sound of buzzing neon is deafening as she sits up, desperate for a look around. She squints her eyes in an attempt to focus them, to take in the complete scene unfolding in the eery glow.
