Despite the chaos, Shadow the Hedgehog tags along as well after escaping Bowser and Metal Overlord's wrath. With no other choice, Team Sonic and the Mario Bros travel across the stars to stop Junior's wicked ambitions and save the galaxy all while learning secrets about Shadow's new powers, Surge's origins, and Bowser's connection to Infinite.
