This will be a series of one-shots following the lives of Beatrice and Tobias Eaton, four years after the events of the war on Abnegation. In this AU, Tris went into the lab, but survived her encounter with David. David was killed and they went back to the city. Uriah is alive, as is Caleb. Zeke and Shauna have a daughter named Zoë, Christina and Uriah are a thing, and Tori is alive because I love her. Marcus, Evelyn, and Jeanine are alive because plot twists, (also I'm thinking about bringing Natalie back??) and I think that's it?? Have fun!

Chapter one. Tris (pov) Hi my name is tris prior and I go to divergent high. My best friends are Zeke, Shauna, Uriah, Christina, will and Marlene. They're the only people I really hang out with. I used to be best friends with Tobias eaton, but one day when we were around 10 or 11 years old he told me that his dad beat him and told he he was worthless. The next day when I went to see him he wasn't home, I checked our tree house and there was a letter saying that he was sorry and he loves me. After that I never saw him again. But I don't think about it much. Tobias(pov) My name is Tobias eaton. I am 17 years old . When I was 11 years I told my best friend Beatriz's that my father beat me. Once I told her my father took me away and we moved to Florida from our home in Chicago. It's been 6 years and I'm finally moving back, I'm attending divergent high. A feel the thread tugging again but this time I know it is my mother and I step willingly into her embrace, but then I remember Tobias. I step back "No, I can't leave him." I say to my mother. She smiles "I know you can't." She says simply, kisses my forehead and disappears, I watch her leave as the edges of my vision goes black. "I love you." I whisper after her and close my eyes, I'm not sure if it was my imagination but I hear her whisper it back. The story of what would've, could've happened, if she'd stayed.
