The Amulet of Daylight was shattered by Merlin to avoid it being in bad trolls's hands so Merlin, before he died, scattered the pieces across the world. Decades later, a 15 year old human boy named Jim Lake Jr. finds the Daylight stone on the counter of his kitchen and he has no idea what it is. But Jim's life gets even crazier when he's told of a secret underground world of trolls under Arcadia. And that blue glowing stone he found on his counter is the Daylight Stone, the same stone that powers the Amulet of Daylight. It soon becomes a chase to Daylight. TROLLHUNTERS: CHASING DAYLIGHT It's a creature from that of a nightmare. And exactly what Eli said, stone for skin. Except this creature's stone for skin is much darker and I don't like how he's eyeing me like I'm a delicious entry. Maybe my knife skills can come to play? Oh, who am I kidding, I'm dead. So, undeniably dead. "So, the rumor is true. The daylight stone has found a new Trollhunter. It's a shame the amulet is in pieces so you can't summon the armor, Trollhunter." The creature tells me, in a very dark and sinister tone of voice. The voice alone, is almost enough to give me shivers. Excuse me what? "I don't know what you're talking about!" I shout. Note: this is a self insert series, although you are free to imagine yourself in my place if you wish <3 Join Phoenix Overland through this tetralogy as she joins Jim in his Trollhunting life to save Arcadia Oaks from the villainous Bular. Almost two years had gone by after Phoenix's best friend had passed away in a fire. In her depressive and anxious state, Jim manages to convince her into his adventure to get her out more. Little would she know this adventure would begin to change her life for the greater.

In Trollhunters, Jim Lake Jr.'s father--James Lake Sr.--supposedly disappeared on Jim's 5th birthday after getting him a bike kit as a present. In this story, James Sr. walks out of Jim's and Barbara's lives after claiming he was only going on a business trip; but in actuality was leaving them for good. While Jim waits for his dad to come back, he meets Toby, who just moved in across the street. When Barbara finds out that James Sr. is never coming home again, she has to break the news to a 5-year-old Jim. This fanfiction is inspired by the Dreamworks series Trollhunters, and is how I imagined what it was like when James Lake Sr. left his family behind. I do not own Trollhunters or the characters.

Jim is heartbroken when he goes back in time, knowing it was the right thing to do but unable to handle being the only one to remember all that had happened the past three years. But with the help of Douxie and Archie, he mends his broken heart while fixing the mistakes of the past. Basically Jim is super depressed cos no one remembers anything, but Douxie helps him and they both work together to fight the bad guys while dealing with their trauma and sadness. NOT Douxie x Jim, they have a big brother little brother relationship. Kinda inspired by this one fic 'Your Future Hasn't Been Written Yet' by Sakon76 on Fanfiction.net, but only certain parts. You should read that tho it's really good. And Jim stays the Trollhunter, beacause I say so. I absolutely hated the way Rise Of The Titans ended so I decided to write this fanfic depicting how I would have liked it to go instead. I never actually watched ROTT. I just know how it ended and therefore refused to watch it and wrote this instead, so forgive me if I get some things wrong. WARNING THIS STORY CONTAINS SOME Panic Attacks Mild Self Harm Depression PTSD (Not alot of any of it, it's not the story's main focus but it does happen because I am obsessed with angst.) Ships include Jim x Claire, Toby x Darci, Aja x Steve, Strickler x Barbara, basically just all the canon ones.
