Tessa and Carter are best friends, and just so happen to be the only ones in their friend group at school who are pretty much obsessed with Before You Exit, the super amazingly talented and adorable band from Orlando, that is. Their other two main friends at school, Sammy and Tabby, always tease them about it playfully, especially Tabby, but they don’t mind. They have met the boys twice before, and are meeting them again for a third time this summer. They both have a thing for one of the boys, Tessa’s being Riley, and Carter’s being Toby, but they both know that nothing will happen. Even so, it doesn’t stop them from having a little hope. Hey, a girl can dream right? And in Tessa and Carter’s case, they have very powerful imaginations. The girls’ story starts out not as a sob story, but with one of the happiest events in the past few years for the girls. Surviving their freshman year of high school! The last day of school also happens to be the day of the Before You Exit concert in Baltimore! The girls have been counting down the days since March 29th (the last BYE concert they went to) and it has finally come to the day they have been waiting for throughout the whole final quarter of the school year. Tessa and Carter have both been feverishly creating scenarios in their minds of what they think will happen during the concert, via text and email, almost every day. But when the time finally comes to step through the doors for VIP, will all of their thoughts go down the drain? Or will their dreams become reality? And after the concert, will their scenarios prove to be unerring? Or will everything they have predicted crash and burn? You may be thinking, “Isn’t that how all the stories go?” But I can assure you, you’ll be surprised by this story of Tessa Moore and Carter Hall.
