Melpomene King is the name the people of Bergsberg used when they wanted their children to behave at night. For about 10 years ago, Melpomene dissapeared from the town, leaving no trace behind. Dirk finally has his freedom. Blackwing has collapsed. Priest is dead. The Holistic Detective Agency is open for business, and business is booming. No longer watching over his shoulder, Dirk finally starts to relax, enjoying his newfound life and finally planning for a sure future. But he can never escape from his past - not really. When a ghost comes back to haunt him, and the universe threatens to rip apart at the very seams, Dirk has to muster every ounce of courage he has to work with his demons, rather than fight them.

It's been four months since Dirk solved the Oneiroi case and human existence, (yes, Dirk solved the case of human existence) and they were beginning to get used to the idea of maybe, possibly, living a normal life. Not that they wanted that, of course. But they had stopped Blackwing so maybe the universe was fixed and no more weird stuff would happen... Wrong! Get ready for a tale of goats, a boat, drugs, and lots of other random stuff. I told you this one was weird.

You and Todd have been friends for years, and when a rather eccentric man called Dirk comes into the picture... things begin to change - perhaps for the better.
