Cover made by @FarMoreWicked Denki didn't know when it happened. It was so gradual that he never even noticed it. But he fell for him. For Shouto. Everytime he looked at the other boy, it was like there was no one else in the world. He'd imagined hundreds of scenarios of the two of them, so totally in love with each other. But recently, the electric blonde had fallen ill. He never let it show, never let anyone know something was wrong. His friends were worried, but he never gave any hint tha t he had the disease. Hanahaki. While fantastical, this illness was all too real. Even though it was rare, cases still showed up in every city. The afflicted coughed up flowers. Not just any flowers, but the petals of the ones that the person they are in love with favor. Now Denki is coughing up red and white rose petals, and Shouto is blissfully ignorant.

Todoroki has liked Kaminari for a while now but due to Kaminari being with Shinsou he's kept quiet about his feelings. As soon as the petals started he knew it was the hanahaki disease, but he still kept quiet. Shinsou hasn't been treating Kaminari well, and recently Kaminari has also started coughing up petals, but he doesn't see a way out. Will love blossom for the two boys like the flowers in their lungs? Or will it wither like flowers without sun? Note I do not own any of the characters or art used in this story
