Togata was Amajiki's comfort for a long time, up until they became true pro heroes and partnered together. On their first encounter of a villain, Amajiki is quickly taking from Togata's grasp and isn't to be heard from for years. Togata blames this all on himself, as if he could of prevented Amajiki's disappearance.

By choosing him instead of Izuku, he drastically altered the course of hero class 1-A's students.
