You play as (Y/N), a young witch in the Emperor's Coven who enjoys practicing magic, looking intimidating, and most importantly, annoying your least favorite-frustrating know it all-stick in the mud coworker....also known as the Golden Guard. But as you uncover forbidden secrets, you find yourself more and more in need of his support- and vice versa. Reader has no pronouns other than (Y/N), so people of all pronouns and gender identity should hopefully be able to relate :)

A young man who longs for a friend, maybe even more casts a spell using forbidden magics found in his Uncle's personal study. Bringing forth his true soulmate (in a sense...) from another world that doesn't have magic nor belief in the possibility of "soulmates." The spell brings the soulmate to the caster. Also de-ages the person (for those who are older than 18+)(if you're reading "my" work and are younger than "the age of knowing how babies are made or knowing that teenagers do stupid things even if they're not supposed to and the author doesn't encourage such behavior!" I suggest you don't read...) to match the casters age. (admit it people there are no such thing as soulmates in reality. The only soulmates we're ever willing to consider as first and only option when it comes to dating or having a relationship with are people who don't exist... (I swear the only characters I consider my soulmates are: Baby Boy Hunter, marvel's Thor 1 and Avengers 1: Loki (not the TV show version except the first episode), Yukio Okumura from Blue Exorcist, etc.) don't deny it, if you found yourself your soulmate, why are you reading reader-inserts? I'm just saying...)

Y/N has always wanted to be in the Emperor's coven, and she has finally made it in at the age of 16. She's gotten used to the harsh conditions and tries her hardest to succeed and proceed through the ranks. Also known as the Amethyst Agent, a spy within the Emperor's Coven who Belos has kept a secret from everyone except for himself, Kikimora, and Lillith. One day, Belos decides it's time for your existence and rank to come into play with the rest of the coven. You don't associate with anyone, and steer clear. Belos keeps you busy with many missions and you are recognized as an import figure within the coven. The Golden Guard, however, isn't so enthralled that this new prodigy is taking his place and you're upstaging him.
