The life of a ghoul...usually isn't very pleasant. No matter what we do, we end up encountering danger and death at some point. But we still try to avoid it. Why? Because most of us still want the chance to live the life of a human, even it's temporary. Unfortunately, it's going to take a lot just to make that happen. -------- Tragedy strikes a young ghoul and they resort to living the rest of their life without ever really thinking of the incident. The moment they run into a familiar face, things start to change and more things begin to take place. But it's these sequence of events that lead to the discovery of everything they never wanted know. (The original summary was erased so I'm putting this here until I can think of a way to revise it.)

Saito Kanade was a top CCG investigator at a young age. Being a dangerous threat to the ghouls, her appearance quickly alerted and rumors spread to the ghoul society. But, when Aogiri Tree was in desperate need of potential humans for an experiment, they decide to use Kanade. Now with the experiment successful, her humanity is placed on the line. Hana Asari is a university student, attending at the same place of Kaneki, Hide, and Nishiki. She is a ghoul herself, barely escaping from a horrendous life in the 13th ward. She keeps her ghoul identity very well hidden from humans, the only ones that know...well...are other ghouls. When she escaped the 13th ward, she was wearing her mask. For fear of being discovered again, she goes to Uta for a new one. Now, our story starts as Hana plans to meet her friends at Anteiku after a day of classes.

Meeting new people and dealing with family issues while trying to juggle school work can cause a lot of stress but that doesn't compare to what one person was put through. When you are on the top of CCG's kill list you are always on the run trying not to get caught. One ghoul knows that all to well. Title, few of the characters, belong to Sui Ishida, creator of Tokyo Ghoul. This has no relevance to the story as such and is a work of fiction. It utilises the basic idea of The Hanged Man's Macguffin written by the character Takatsuki Sen. Well,it's dark too, so a little discretion is appreciated.
