Any reference to a person or place is purely coincidental. This story takes place during the ending of Tokyo Ghoul Root A. Tokyo Ghoul was one of my first anime, and is by far my favourite. I, like many fans, have been patiently awaiting a season 3. After, the beautiful story the anime had, I couldn't accept the ending. Hide is one of my favourite characters, due to his compassion for others, and I just can't accept him dieing. I know a lot of the fandom ships Keneki and Tsukiama, but I just can't get into it. Kaneki and Hide obviously feel a lot for each other, and I hope I can capture that emotion. I think this story is going to turn into a Yaoi, so just warning the homophobic readers out there.
