The past harbours many demons, some worse than others, but the universe's laws state that balance must exist at all times - demons must have counterparts, by some referred to as angels, whereas others consider it the will of the gods that light is able to permeate the darkness. When Akiko finds herself confronted with the demons and angels in her life, she has to decide what she is fighting for. A dysfunctional family, the threat of dangerous gangs, the greed of mankind. In an attempt to escape the darkness in her life, Akiko is encouraged to keep her heart open by the very same boy who will teach her how true love is supposed to work.
