After receiving numerous death threats the threats take a step for the worse. After almost being kidnapped the Blackbourne team as been assigned to protect her thanks to her Academy connections.

Kaylie Winchester leaves the Toma team for Blake Colter. Unaware she's pregnant until it's too late. She can't go back, and she most certainly can't tell Blake the truth. Marc, stuck in the local dog pound gets adopted by an unsuspecting girl trying to make her own way in life. Little does she know that the dog she brought home is a member of the Academy. Though Marc was just going to make a quick escape once she fell asleep, the more he learns about her, the more he needs to help her out. Marc calls in the rest of the Toma team to make this a Christmas the girl will never forget.

My life was never easy. In fact, it might have been hard. Everyone's lives are hard at one time or another, but mine... mine lead me to become strong where others would have broken. You know, after being abused for most of the beginning 16 years of my life. I thought god had finally heard my plea when he gave me the ability to travel between worlds. But I was both right and wrong. Right ~ God had heard my plea, and because of my sheltered life, decided to give me the ability to get away from my family forever, by entering different worlds and exploring them. In this Ghostbird Fanfic Sang never makes it to Charleston, SC. Sang saves herself before ever meeting her boys. She isn't abandoned by family, she won't put up with abuse, and doesn't feel it's her duty to take care of a monster. Every victim of abuse reacts differently. I personally was defiant and refused to believe what I was told or that I deserved it. I wanted Sang to have my spirit. I wanted Sang to have even more than my spirit actually as I didn't save myself but Sang will save herself. So if Sang was never the timid bird we know her as who will she become? If she ends up knowing a normal life and allowed to mature and know healthy relationships before meeting the boys how will that go? I'll alter the boys as well. When I look back now on CL's books they come across as guys who don't like confident women and have hero complexes. I can't remember exactly what they say about the Academy girls and why they won't date them but basically it's because the girls are confident and sure of themselves and apparently that's not good? So no these guys won't be like that. The core of who they are will be the same though. I feel like the Toma team does appreciate confident women already so they won't need to be altered at all. I digress lets see how the story flows with our Sang being her own hero and the havoc she'll unleash on our boys. Finally, these characters are not my own but the plot is my own. So no stealing my plot and give all credit of characters to CL Stone. I will reference to some scenes from her books as well as the boys will still do the Ashley Waters mission and deal with Volto. The actual scenes from her books won't be in my own though just referenced in flashbacks and such.
