Life is life. It cannot get any more complicated after that, right? Everyone's a protagonist of their own story, or at least that's how it should be on the paper, but we both know it isn't like that all the time, sadly. But back to the story, you have a setting, a motif, some characters and their motivations that push them to their respective goals. The author's role is to play the fate and the most absorbed watcher that would rely to the rest the story, without interfering too much. After all a good story is bereft of so called "mary sue" or "deus ex machina"... but after being a protagonist of a story that is not "too good to be true"... you'd want to be a mary sue, you'd want some divine intervention that would slap the antagonist right across their face in the key moment. So where does it put us? I can offer you some tomatoes for lasting thus far. ...I don't know where this story goes, I'll wing it. Oh and don't ask about the dumpster number 1, it's a cliche way of putting some kind of a mystery... lol
