Freeman seemingly disappeared and the cascade got the attention of a powerful alien army, the Combine. The Science Team, after being dropped back into the world after the Seven Hour War, are forced to adapt to this new lifestyle while aiding an underground resistance.

Tommy asks when his birthday is since he never really knew after being orphaned by his father so young. G-Man is surprised that he doesn't remember his sons birthday, or how old he even is. Feeling bad, G-Man chooses a random day and throws his son a party that he makes everyone attend. Well, not everyone. He's pretty sure the skeleton, who only goes by the name You, invited itself.
