"... Did you seriously just admit you have a crush on me, without hesitating? That's - I'm so... impressed, honestly." He wheezes in disbelief, and you smile.
"I don't see the point in keeping it a secret, it's just a crush, and we're friends," you say, completely honest. Truthfully, you never understood people who hid their crushes, only to forge friendships and worry about it ruining them later on. If this connection between you and Tommy was going to continue, you didn't want it to be some secret between you two. Chances are it'll fade soon, anyway.
Tommy just laughed again, "I can't believe this. You are crazy, man." You just laugh, agreeing and moving on with the conversation. Because what's the big deal with it all? You pride yourself on being honest. It'll probably be a moment you laugh back on once you move on. Yeah.

a strange idea i had about flipping the trope where two people don't confess because they're scared of ruining the friendship and the entire pining is settled on 'if only i had the foresight and just told them in the beginning', so i just went and created something where a character DID have that foresight. it creates a pretty odd (but cute) dynamic.
nothin funky ab tommy, just romance and nothing more. also, no cursing, somehow. yeah, that'll be hard to work around with this guy.
