The Return of Lord Zedd The Green Ranger isn't the final boss-he's the herald. The massive energy surge from the Green Ranger's attacks acts as a beacon for Lord Zedd, Rita's former commander, who views her failure as an opportunity to "strip-mine" Earth for its life force.
