My name is Anne. It's a story from my past. A darkline that I'd passed. It's about a man, my shadow partner when I was in that delivery job. A dangerous job that I shouldn't do. It's about the tones that I'd forgotten a bit. About my paranoia and the rain, something that changed after that day.

. The officer tensed, fists clenched, and his eyes narrowed in irritation. He stood, Joints creaking and loose skin dropping painfully. yet the sudden rise gave the woman pause, yet not for the reasons he thought. She caught herself, and, eyes still glowing, smiled again the grin that shouted insanity, and let loose the words that had been begging for release ever since the officer had walked in. “Officer, I do believe that I can help you.” She leaned forward, and for a short moment the officer feared that he had played the exact card she had been waiting for. It all started with a murder. No, scratch that. It all started long before that. When the Chief of Police was just a high schooler, madly crushing on a random girl he met one night. A girl named May Pierce. Years later, and it's she whose crushing on him. Rather, on his skull. Really though. All's fair in love and war. But exactly what is this?

I will also identify three writers techniques used in this poem and the effect they have on the reader :) neutral This is for my English homework and I didn't know what else to use for a word count and I couldn't be bothered to count them myself :') Anyways, I thought it might be helpful to some people so here ya go..
