That is how Rosey ended up in New York in the spring of '22, still taking those ol' trousers back from her Yale days with her. * * * In 1922, Rosaline "Rosey" Carraway from the midwest makes the move to New York City to escape the restlessness she felt after the war. Along the way, she meets many people, including a peculiar person named "Riggy Rigsby," who just so happens to be her neighbor, and their meeting marks the beginning of his fall. (A Toon Turf x Great Gatsby AU, gasp!) WARNINGS FOR!! Graphic Depictions of Violence + Major Character Death Internalized Homophobia/Transphobia Period-typical Bigotry Identity Crises Abuse Depression Suicidal Thoughts The work will mostly follow the pathway/storytelling of The Great Gatsby musical until the tea part (Chapter 5-ish), where it will then transition to the book/movie. So I do fear that If you are not particularly fond of the musical that the beginning half of this AU is tough. Because of that as well, This work is not fully a retelling of the original story, so if you do enjoy this work I beg of you to read The Great Gatsby or watch the movie (the only one I can recommend personally is the 2013 version as its the only one I've seen xd)

D.D had Been created only a few weeks alone and he's already seemed to fuck up everything. He didn't know what that thing was- then Preston would shove off but apparently not.) he gets emotional over the smallest things, he doesn't care to get to no one in the facility since they all seem very mean- and to top it all off- he keeps feeling things that are- not from him. The air regularly feels like certain things that could cause an emotion. Sometimes it feels like you spilled hot coffee on your lap before a meeting, other times it felt like watching a creek of water in the woods.. Whatever it felt like- could it just go away?? Bam Has always felt.. Lost- ever since he woke up all those years ago in the streets without any memory he's been trying to find out what he was. But he's found nothing- even after spending years reading and researching, he's found nothing. Not to mention recently his friends had found out that he's.. Betrayed them to work with the boss, who he thought would provide the answers he needed to finally know what is so weird about him. But nope- nothing.. It was as if nothing about him existed.. Why? He didn't know.. Sure he may be a lawyer but he can't figure out what was wrong with him. say- what were those footsteps running down the hall..? (Note: Since AI is becoming an issue i just wanna say this- My stories Are not AI generated. nothing in these are AI generated. AI is not real art in any way shape or form)
