(Cover Art by DMireChanD on Deviant Art) Mankind and Dragon kind have been at war with each other for so long with the years went by, a legend emerged amongst the humans, a dragon has been spotted as dark as the shadows themselves making it impossible to spot in the darkness of night and a shadow figure has been seen stealing from villages and injuring Vikings. This is where the legend of the Shadow Dragon and The Shadow Rider.

Hiccup is tired of living on Berk. So he and Toothless decide to leave to go on a journey of discovery. Along the way, they find new lands, make new friends, discover new dragons, and fight enemies. All movies and shows belong to their rightful owners. But OCs belong to me.

You have likely seen it all before, Hiccup gets chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare but instead of staying to try and prove to his village dragons aren't the monsters they think they are, he leaves. Abandons the world he knows for a world of possibility, a world where he can be him, be free. What if he is one day discovered by a group of dragon riders and chose to join them as they had adventure after adventure. It would be a good life but of course it would never stay so happy, things would change sometimes for the better sometimes for worse. Old scars would surface, old lives reappear and new faces vanish, how would this affect him. Well shall we find out? I don't own the How To Train Your Dragon franchise of course and this is all done for fun. You know the legal stuff. I also don't own the image, I got it off of google as one could expect. For now the story isn't Mature though this may change in the future as I continue so I will make sure to change that if it becomes necessary, just an early warning just in case I break a guideline.

What if the dragons decided to stay at New Berk with the Berkians? Hiccup works to lead the people of Berk and at the same time continue to care for the dragons. The trialing times for Berk seemed to have finally passed. But the arrival of an old friend, and the mysterious disappearances of dragons around New Berk, threatens the peace of New Berk. And brings Hiccup and all he cares about closer to danger once again. Set directly after the events of "How to train your dragon: the Hidden World". WARNING:Possible spoilers! Includes references and characters from Race to the edge, references to defender/riders of Berk, as well as all the main story of the movies. I don't own any of the characters, aside from any OCs I add. The characters and world belong to and are from 'How to train your dragon'. Snoutlout was her one true friend when they were younger, but things changed when they got older and started to enter new roles in Berk. They drifted apart and now dislike one another or so they thought. The story follows the same plot from the 'How to Train your Dragon' (live action), but mixing it up angst, romance and so much more.

Vacuo: Dragons might be more integrated into daily survival here, acting as essential transport across the harsh deserts where technology often fails. The Grimm Threat: Specific Grimm, like the Grimm Dragon (Kevin) seen at the Fall of Beacon, could be perversions of ancient dragon spirits, created by Salem to mock the majesty of the living creatures. The Lone Crow: Qrow Branwen Dragon: The Stormcutter (Four-winged Owl-Dragon) The Bond: Much like Qrow, the Stormcutter is a master of the skies but often misunderstood. Its four wings allow for unparalleled maneuverability, mimicking Qrow's aerial combat style.
