The smell of breath exhaled from the mouth, which exceeds the social limit, is collectively called bad breath.
Bad bad breath is thought to be caused by volatile sulfur compounds generated by bacteria in the mouth by decomposing proteins such as peeled mucosal cells, exudates from periodontal pockets and food residues.
Types of halitosis
