Fire was an element that either commanded respect or consumed fear. Aelita Kenshin had experienced both feelings during her sixteen years of life. A firebending master reduced to nothing but the hollow shell of what she once was, the smell of blood and burnt flesh haunted her every waking moment. The Butcher of Ba Sing Se no longer trusts the power beneath her fingertips, because she killed the last airbender. The entire world believed the Avatar to be dead and nearly all of the Akira's world thought she was too. Forced to leave Aelita behind without even her body to say goodbye to, Aang and the others grapple with the grief that threatens to overwhelm them with only their desire for peace and justice to push them forward. Years had passed since the children of Fire Lord Ozai had pretended that they were a family. Welcomed home as war heroes next to their sister, twin Princes Zuko and Zetzu are thrust back into the game of thrones. As the eldest son of the chieftain he was tasked with protecting the village when his father left to aid in the war. As an older brother, he has to take care of his younger siblings Sokka and Katara. After their mother was killed, too much changed. He didn't have time for fun and games with war on their borders. To keep his remaining family safe he had to close off his heart and train relentlessly for the battle he knew they'd face eventually. The Avatar wasn't coming back. Or at least, that's what Ayaan thought, until a bald kid with blue arrows showed up.

Kimjo and Zuko have been searching for the Avatar ever since their banishment. With Kimjo's sickly constitution and wheelchair bound body, she works to help the Fire Nation Prince with the problems that come with searching for the master of all four elements.

The raid to save a little girl was finally over and done with, Izuku being able to save the youngling. This had been the toughest fight thus far, the heroes losing one of their own, while Izuku used all of his power to defeat Chisaki. He and the others rescued Eri, putting an end to the torment and torture the little girl recieved. It was all over. Life was finally starting to normalizing again... or so they thought. ----------------------- With the miraculous, or should they say, jaw dropping and inspiring victory against the Fire Nation at the North Pole, the Gaang were well on their way to the Earth Kingdom. Only a few months remained before Aang's Mastery of the four elements would be needed, to face the biggest threat to the World. The world war was rampant, going on for one hundred years as the only one who could end it was the avatar himself. However, as fate just so happened to have it, something crazy occurred... and now their chances were looking a lot better. What happens when Zuko's eighteenth birthday comes around, and the Gaang frantically compiles a birthday celebration? Probably disaster. POV Katara Crazyness, awkwardness, and a little bit of romance make up this short story. Enjoy! If you have any questions, just ask.
